Project Based Knitting Classes - Socks

  • The Pumpkin Patch 10a St. Mary's Walk Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 1AF United Kingdom (map)

If you have learned the basics of knit and purl , but want to move on from the basics then this is the aim of these classes. Each 5 week block will cover a specific technique and then work on a project associated with this so that you can develop your knitting knowledge.

This 5 week block covers working on double pointed needles (dpn’s) in the round to make your own pair of socks. You can also use dpn’s to knit hats, sleeves or anything else in the round that you do not wish to sew up. The sock classes will cover:

  • casting on with a stretchy cast on,

  • how to knit in the round in the traditional way on dpn’s

  • how to turn a heel,

  • how to graft a toe

Alternatively, if you have a particular project you wish to work on and are struggling with the pattern or chart and need some support then please feel free to also join these classes.

This class runs weekly on Fridays. Payment is for 5 weeks in advance at £8 per 2hr session = £40. However, please contact me to join at anytime.

To book your place please call me on 07541 840850
